Slingshot Coffee is always brewed using fresh-crop, in-season, single origin beans. When we think about coffee as an agricultural product — it is the seed of a fruit, after all — we can identify better with seasonality. We partner exclusively with Counter Culture Coffee; and are committed to only using coffees that are fresh, which will in turn highlight the beautiful story that each bean has to tell — through its flavor, variety, origin and more.

And, of course, our coffees are always 100% Certified Organic, Direct Trade Certified and Kosher Certified.

The coffee you taste in your Slingshot Cold Brew is a washed coffee from a cooperative in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, called Idido. Ethiopia’s coffee trees have cross-pollinated an unknown number of times, creating more genetic coffee diversity than all other coffee-producing countries combined. Ethiopia also has the longest-standing traditions of coffee culture and cultivation in the world. No other country celebrates coffee with such high regard. The reverence of the daily coffee ceremony is a cultural treasure and an incredibly important part of the fabric of Ethiopian social, familial, and even business life.
